Exciting news!
The Poultney Historical Society is planning its 85th annual East Poultney Day celebration for Saturday, August 8th, 2020 from 9am to 3pm. The event will have a theme around women, as this year marks the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19thAmendment, guaranteeing women’s right to vote. We are very excited to announce our keynote speaker, Carrie Brown will be presenting Rosie’s Mom: Forgotten Women of the First World War, sponsored by the Vermont Humanities Council!
As you may recall, this day originated to recognize the rich history of Poultney. It is full of education and entertainment, remaining a much-anticipated community event. This year will be filled with new museum exhibits, traditional craft demonstrations, lectures, musicians, and children’s games and crafts. We hope that you will consider joining us again and we look forward to welcoming you to East Poultney Day!
